Three gorgeous colours for autumn hair

Autumn hair, oh how we love it! You see, it’s not just the leaves on that ground that change colour from their once vivid and lush green to a rich shade of orange come autumn but the new season has us thinking to our own time for change.

Changing your hair in time for a new season is commonly done and an alluring prospect for many women and here at Grow Gorgeous HQ we totally get why! You get to reinvent yourself to go with the new season and there’s just something in the air that inspires change with every new season. We’ve picked our top three colours for AW16 to inspire you for your next appointment at the hair salon. So what do you say… new season, new you?

Icy Blonde

How come whenever autumn and winter roll around we all feel a strong urge to dye our hair delicious shades of chocolate and chestnut brown? Perhaps its nature tempting us and a feeling that as the nights get darker our hair should too. We say rebel against nature and instead of going over to the dark side, break away from tradition and opt for cool icy blonde at your next autumn hair appointment.

The upkeep of blonde is high maintenance but you can take some of the care into your own hands with weekly hair masks to keep your hair healthy and conditioned. Grow Gorgeous Overnight to Gorgeous Hair Masque keeps hair soft and nourished with an infusion of natural hyaluronic acid to keep blonde hair from drying out.

Rose Gold

Rose gold has been huge this past year and we’ve been wearing and styling it any way possible, including in our autumn hair. Rose gold hair makes an incredible statement and with Christmas, aka party season, right around the corner, now is as good a time of ever to get playful with your hair. Rose gold hair suits all shades of hair though be mindful that the lighter your base colour, the bolder and brighter your colour may pick up so you’ll want to have a proper consultation before you hit the (bleach) bottle. To keep colour from fading use 12-in-1 Cleansing Conditioner Colour Protect with every hair wash and your colour will stay fresher for longer.

The rich shade of espresso looks sleek and very expensive so no doubt it’s on our radar for autumn hair trends. During the cold autumn and winter months we’re looking for that glow and iridescent shine we normally obtain from the sun as it catches on our cheeks and collarbones at summer. Come autumn we’re wrapped up and our hair and complexion can look sunken, dull and tired. A luxurious head of glossy hair in the deepest espresso shade is perfect for the colder months as brunette hair is incredible for picking up a healthy glossy finish and to up the shine you use Grow Gorgeous Shine Serum for that extra oomph. With just a few drops of Shine Serum hair is left super sleek and glossy and a bitter espresso shade of hair complements and amplifies the shine.
