Fashion Week 2018: Hottest Hairstyles Right Now

It’s that time of year again, our timelines are flooded with stunning models wearing all the weird and wonderful creations from the world’s top designers. IT’S FASHION WEEK (or should I say ‘weeks’, because one just isn’t enough, is it?). Some of our favourite GG muses have strutted their stuff over the past couple weeks exhibiting SS19 fashion and next season’s must-have hair. Here we give you a snippet of the hair trends to watch.

So when and where is Fashion Week?

New York Fashion Week: 6 – 14 September 2018

London Fashion Week: 14 – 18 September 2018

Milan Fashion Week: 18 – 24 September 2018

Paris Fashion Week: 24 September – 2 October 2018

We’ve already seen New York, London, and Milan’s Fashion Weeks and it’s safe to say they didn’t disappoint, but luckily it’s not over just yet as Paris is carrying the torch until next Tuesday. So keep your eyes peeled for more hair inspo!

Our Favourite Hairstyles

SS19 Fashion Week hair has been simplistic, classy and natural showing off models’ natural beauty. Good news for our GG girls! You don’t need a million different tools, as well as at least a spare hour in the morning to create fashion-week-worthy hair. Here are our favourite styles that can easily be replicated at home!

Slick Chic

Slicked back hairstyles aren’t going anywhere fast. This effortlessly classic look is timeless giving any outfit that added stylish touch. Perfect for a lazy hair day or a glam event, this hair style is diverse and only takes a hair brush and a bobble. Form a neat parting in the centre of your hair and comb strands into a bobble, whether that be into a pony or bun and voila! Effortless sass. Go get ‘em girl!

Top tip: if you have stray baby hairs that just aren’t for settling, use a tooth brush to comb them into a slick formation.

Buns, Buns, Buns!

Messy buns, half-up-half-down buns and top buns, all provide simple, stylish hair that works for any occasion. Kendall Jenner, one of our favourite supermodels, effortlessly slays every single catwalk ever, but this year she pulled off a simple high top bun. Providing a clean, gorgeous style that can be easily created by anyone. Release your inner Kendall girls!

Beach Waves

When aren’t beach waves one of our favourites? We’re not sure this style will ever not be in fashion. Some of our GG girls are blessed with natural wavy hair (the jealousy is real), but some of us have to create those cascading waves ourselves. Instead of using curlers, why not try twisting hair into a bun when slightly damp? When you unleash those tresses they should have a fashion-week-ready natural wave without causing any heat damage.

Pink Hair

Looking for something a bit more extravagant? Fashion Week’s catwalk was brightened up by a sprinkle of pink hair! Who needs clothes when your hair is a fashion statement in itself? Empowering and fabulous all in one, pink hair can brighten up a chilly autumn morning.
