Treating hangover hair

We’ve all been there, the morning after the night before; one too many glasses of bubbly and we’re feeling worse for wear.  But did you know that a night of heavy drinking can leave you with dull, dry hair too?

With dry January over and the cocktails in full swing, we’re here to help you to treat your hangover hair, so wave goodbye to dry hair and hello to gorgeous, healthy locks. We can’t help you with your headache though – sorry!

Drink up!

How does drinking alcohol cause dry hair? Alcohol causes the body to become dehydrated, including your hair and scalp, leading to brittle, dry hair prone to breakage. To prevent your body from becoming too dehydrated as you sip on your Mojito, you need make sure you’re staying hydrated throughout your night. Try to have glasses of water between drinks and always, always have a glass of water before bed after a night of drinking. This will ensure that your body stays somewhat hydrated, lessening the effect of alcohol on your locks… and your head!

Eat up
